• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil level when cold

As was said, it does vary with climate, ambient temperature, and how warm the engine is. BRP says halfway between full and add, but my experience is that at 65-75 degrees ambient, with a warm engine (just after an oil change) it will barely touch the stick tip (all the way screwed in). At 50 degrees ambient, or with a dead cold engine, it did not show at all. Manual transmission, oil added to exact volume recommended. The only reliable way to check is at full operating tempertaure (after a ride).

COLD OIL

I have numerous times...usually before I ride then after I'm done and have parked it....I keep the oil slightly below full ( normally ).This is when fully warmed up. It measures 1/4 inch up from the bottom of the dip stick when cold then....& I check my oil everytime I ride and add when I have to...So it never varies much......Do it by the book though.....Mike.....

I was just curious to see if anyone had done this.I check it by the manual but just checked today cold to see what the level was.
