• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Friend of my MIL asked me to find some info on this old double. Its stamped Joseph Manton 6 Hollies ST Cavendish London between the barrels, but that's about it. I think its a old pinfire, where the shell had a pin protruding from the top and the hammer fell on that pin to fire the gun. It is Damascus barreled, and in fair to average condition (probably 40-50%). Either way a neat old double..

Info

After doing a quick search I found this for Joseph Manton 6 Hollies ST Cavendish London. Have him look at this site Museum Victoria. This thing might have some value to it.

I'm still not finding to much info yet, but I have a few call out to some gun nuts I know hoping they can give me some info and value. It will be for sale very soon. I'm not interested in it, just trying to help out a friend.

Thanks for the links.... I already found Manton's history, but only finding muzzle loading examples of his work. This could be one of his first breech loading designs. It may be worth thousands, or gas money.
it's worth more than gas money, even in that condition. too bad it wasn't 90% or better. in that shape my guess it's still worth a grand or more.
