• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Only One More Chance to Ride Rolling Thunder

Sadly the annual Rolling Thunder ride in Washington DC is coming to an end. The attached image is confirmation I received via email this evening. I have ridden several times and it is an awesome ride around downtown DC and doing it with 700,000 other motorcycles is an overwhelming experience. I will be there for sure this coming Memorial weekend and hope all of you that have been wanting to do it but have not yet taken the initiative will do it as well.

I'm sorry to hear this. I can see how, with it have gotten so huge, it would be a logistical nightmare. Too bad they couldn't just limit the participation to a certain number.

The central group stops at my town every year and there's a big turn-out for them. We'll miss them.

sad news....

It is sad but understandable as it has gotten to be a huge event. They could have split it up in several limited ride to make it more manageable. They did have a good run and will stay active even so....:dontknow:
