• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Paint Blemish/BRP Response

Lol.. that is the least of my problems.... the bike has more problems that I care to explain. My dealer is great (Lifestyles Honda) and it is not their fault that my bike has so many issues. So far BRP has been helpful but it means too many trips to the shop so I am afraid to take the Bike out some days. Recently it threw a code for no reason, the air suspension is leaking, the brakes are acting up and my cruise control stopped working. (this is all just in the last 2 weeks! lo)l.. A small blemish on the truck lid! lol... no worries mate. BRP is not too worried about customer relations when it comes to this sort of thing. The paint on my front hood is coming off along the sharp crease.. little bubbles along the length of one side. BRP said it was damaged I must have caused even though my dealer told them other wise.... Life is too short to worry about a 30K bike, lol...

Bob, its a lava bronze, and its beautiful as it is, but would you accept that sort of defect on your new car? They took my 30K, and I think they're obligated to deliver a perfect paint job. What happens after that is on me.

Blue, a dime sized defect is simply unacceptable, and I wouldn't give up on that until they fixed it or replaced it!

As for me, I'll probably let it be as the alternative has the potential for an even worse headache, but honestly, what would it cost BRP to send out one new painted panel? Wouldn't the customer relations benefit alone be worth it?

:agree: Customer Good-Will never shows up directly on the balance sheet; but it IS there...
It's unacceptable; but the "solutions" may be even worse.
Have you considered finding out what a qualtiy body shop would charge for the re-paint of the panel?
(It couldn't hurt to ask...)

I really have to agree with Coastrider here Bob. I understand the love that folks have for BRP, but it makes MUCH more sense (to me) for BRP to incur the very minor cost to overnight a replacement lid,,, than for a new owner to be checking into a repaint by a body shop on a trunk lid for a brand new Spyder.

There are some things like this where I think we sometimes seem to try too hard to let BRP off the hook, so to speak.

Just my two cents, which is actually worth about two cents!
