There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Passenger foot pegs won’t stay vertical - any suggestions to keep them up?

New 2024 F3T. My wife almost never has a passenger, so she leaves her passenger pegs folded upwards. Even sitting untouched in the garage, the pegs descend to their horizontal position after a short time. Even quicker when riding! The 2 bolts per peg are tight. Any suggestions to keep pegs vertical?

Mine are the same way, they won't stay folded and the way they're designed, they never will.

I don't worry about them when I ride solo, they're behind me and I don't even look at them.

Take em off if they bother her that much.

The right side of my past F3S was the same way. I put some black rtv silicone on the hinge. No more droop..

I had the same problem on my F3S.
I seen a guy that put magnets on the pegs and Tupperware and that worked.
I thought about that, but in the end I just used a 3/8" square of 3M Automotive double side tape (grey)
I put it on the peg where it made contact with the Tupperware and pushed hard until well seated. So far I have 1000 miles on this set up and the pegs remain up and out of the way.

It has been happening since the first model F3, Pete. I started looking for a solution, and then thought “why am I being so anal”, and simply left them down. ;)

Personally, I sometimes will adjust positions & rest my heels on the passenger floorboards & toes on the drivers. Nothing horrible, just a 'lil change I can do while ryding. No highway pegs “yet”.

I'm fine with the passenger footboards being down, but then I use the left side one to help me get into the driver's seat.

Yes, I'm old, and I don't bend like I did when I was younger. :D

That was the first thing my dealer showed me and I use them to get on every time. I would like to find a way to lower them for the passenger comfort (if I ever get a passenger).

The bolt tightness won't effect the friction to keep them upright. The screws go into a bushing from either end, and the bushing is rubber mounted. I ride solo exclusively, and leave them in place (don't remove them) and folded down/horizontal. I sometimes use them to mount the F3.

One of my pegs does this. In my case it seems like there is a rubber like washer or bushing that is binding and resisting the peg being moved upwards, always providing a force to move the beg back into the down position as if it has a spring. It sounds very much like rubber being twisted, if you get my meaning?!

In my case, I use the pegs to get on and off, so the fact that they are down is of no consequence. If I were to fix it, I think loosening the bolts would relieve the spring tension and allow it to stay up.

That's my 2 Cents....

J&P cycles sells a shim made for HD's but would probably work on the Can Am. It is a Drag Specialties part # P401188. They cost about a buck each. That is how HD solved the problem. I would think it would work on the Can Am. Good luck.
