• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Picture Posting

Great! I was searching for a how to thread and wasn't having much luck. I used to add pictures using the "Insert Image" box above the posting area but have since switched to using the "Manage Attachments" option from the area below the posting area.

Ok: from the small icons at the top of the reply area click on insert image icon. Then an insert image box comes up, I clicked on "from computer", then clicked "basic uploader" at the bottom, then I clicked on "browse", and the pictures stored on my computer came up.
The Black Hills 009.jpgThen I clicked on a picture, then clicked on "open", clicked on "upload files" (this part takes a while) and the picture appears!

Ok I was able to figure it out so I hope this helps.:barf:

Pictures

When I click on the image icon it says choose picture from URL. What does that mean? I'm trying to post a picture from my iPhone.

:dontknow: I don't know what you do about IPhones... Don't they have an app for that? :D
Perhaps you treat the phone just like it's a computer, and browse through it for the desired picture? :dontknow:

Here's what I do..!!

I click the picture icon...the box appears and you can pick "computer" or "URL"...pick "computer. You will the see "select file" click that. Then a box will appear with a list of places on your device. Pick the one where the picture is stored. In my case "gallery" click that and then click on the picture you want. This will bring you back to the box with "select file". Just below that you will see "upload file" click that and wait for the picture to appear in your post...

I just upload my pics to Photobucket and then copy the link into my post.
This way you don't have to worry about file sizes ect.
