• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Portable Paint Booth

I finally got around to building myself a portable paint booth. I always hated if I ever wanted to paint something I had to head outside and find a spot where the wind wasn't blowing so much. The wife wasn't happy if I ever used the garage either so I came up with a plan and figured out how I could paint inside the garage without the fumes. I did some tweaking on it and even found one on youtube I really liked. You can build one for less than $60. Yes there is a 6" blower inline and filter so it captures all the dust and paint before it exits the garage.

Nice job. I have been wanting to get the air brush going again and that looks like the ticket. What is your filter?

i just bought a cheap air filter at Walmart that would fit the inside of the box. I put some velcro on the back side and it seems to hold it up there just fine.

Reminds me of those fume hoods in high school chemistry.

Now, how to supersize it to fit a whole Spyder in it. :)

Well done....

Great booth for those small projects. :clap:now you don't have to search out the breezeless corner...
