• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pretty cool ladies riding jacket

I really like the new style. Price is great at $250. This one is to form fit looking for ladies that are going to be in the 2X or larger sizes. Not going to be on my Christmas list for the lady.

If they made a mens version I would hope for a different name.:roflblack: It is a nice jacket though.

Many years ago I had a Hein Gehricke (sp?) jacket kinda like that. It also had the slightly off-side zipper. When you unzipped it, it revealed another zipper, running parallel down the jacket, that provided a 2-inch expansion in the full length of the torso, for the times I bundled up with bulky clothing.

I was looking for that in this video; disappointed that they passed on the opportunity to add a really useful feature.

I had a HG jacket in the 90's. In fact, I still have it. They had very stylish and unique designs. I wonder what happened to them. Roland Sands is also good.

I have had my eye in this one. But I need to lose more weight first (Working on that)

RE: Hein Gerike Jackets. I still have a classic version from 1984 or so. It still looks like new, and is a "bit tight" now--but I still wear it from time to time. Great leather jacket without the foo foos. In it's day, it was the "expensive" stuff at about $400.

Hein Gerike is part of First Gear. I have one also from the 90's the Scout 1. It was a very expensive jacket back in the day. I think I paid over $400 for mine also. It is a good looking jacket and I still wear it sometimes also, but I mostly wear textile today.

I really like the design of the Warrior Princes. If my wife would wear leather I would buy it for her,but she also likes the textile look more.As to the zip front not being able to be snapped open it would be so easy to add that feature.

Learned something new: Did not know that HG was part of the first gear family. I have a "modern" version of a HG mesh jacket--and it does look like a FG product.:bowdown: Thanks for the info.

It's a bit like putting on a girdle LOL:roflblack:know the feeling well

I got rid of my Hein Gericke a few years back. It was still in good shape, but it was a size 38 (expandable as described to 40). A few years back I got into weightlifting, and am now somewhere between a 42 and 44.

Also, it had a padded back for cool weather riding, which made it a one-season jacket down here in Alabama.
