• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question about exhaust pipe on rts

G,day everybody, Just a question I would like to throwout there and see if anyone in Spyderlovers world can answer for me.
I descided to change the standard exhaust pipe on my RTS to a Yoshima, after hearing one on Lamonsters video clip. I went to the dealer and he had one fitted to a RS model, I thought the sound was loud but not too loud. ( Simular to a Ducatti ). Purchased mine and fitted it, when it came to its first start up I could not believe how quiet it was. Upon looking at the RS model again I noticed that there is no CAT convertor underneath just straight pipes. Where as on the RT there is a large CAT convertor or muffler underneath the bike. My question is - Can I remove the CAT convertor??????????? and replace it with straight pipes??????????
If I do this, will it affect the engine management????????

I have removed mine but I have a pcv and 02 modifier and auto tune. I would not have a good answer. I would think not as long as the intake is stock. Some one will chim in soon.

The gs/rs has the cat in the stock muffler, So if they removed the muffler in the rs, so go's the cat.

I have also removed the cat on my RT with no issues but would not do it if you do not plan on using some sort of fuel controller. I also have the PCV and Autotune by Dynojet. Mine runs supper smooth and crisp.
