• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone advise on how to take out this piece. Just didnt want to start sticking a flathead in there and breaking something...

 I hate to say this; but it sure LOOKS as if it's that sort of job...
Why not take a real thin-bladed pocketknife, and carefully do some "exploring" around the edges with it first?
Good Luck!

I tried looking in the Parts/Accessories catalog to see if they post the instructions for GPS mount but that would be too easy.

 Perhaps a Corkscrew???

You use a thin flat blade screwdriver and pry from the top. It's just plastic and doesn't take much effort. I just put a piece of tape on both sides of the blade to keep it from scratching the handle bar.

Insert a small flat screw driver under an edge and pry upwards. It will pop off with surprisingly little force. It has two plastic tabs that help keep it in place. The good thing is that it can be removed and replaced many times. I notched it a bit on one edge to run a wire from my gps to my fuse block.

Have to agree..!!

It does look that way. As suggested small flat blade or pocket knife. The only other would be to remove the whole piece tos see the back. Must pop out though..!!

Thank you all. Figured it might have been attached to the muffler somehow. :roflblack: I love :spyder2: Gona try tomorrow.
