• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

quick question

I am about to switch out of a 2012 RTS-SE5 to a 2015 RT-Limited.

I am swapping things from one to the other. Such as my flags on my truck lip from Rivco, and am transferring my adjustable wing vents (BRP) from this back to the standard and taking my adjustable and putting them on the 2015 RT-Limited.

My question is:

Can I simply unscrew the wing vents without taking Tupperware apart? Is there a nut that will fall off on the back side in the process of switching? OR- are the vents simply screwed on and held into the Tupperware or fitting without a nut falling off? (HOPE I AM MAKING SENSE?)

Thanks! :sour:

Thank you!

They just screw into a fitting. No nut. Enjoy the new ride.

Thank you so much! I was afraid I'd unscrew it and hear a nut fall off and then be up the old creek! Glad to know there isn't one! Ha! Good news there.

Thank you for the well wishes on the new 2015 RT Limited. We hope it will be a good "Upgrade" choice. Just so many changes I can't see how it wouldn't be.

We will be picking it up the week of March 14th!

Thank you again!

;)

My "adjustables" are now on their second RT...
(You mean that you've never had those body panels off?
We all can't wait to see the pictures of your new bike! :congrats:

Hey there Fellow Kansan,

You are going to Love your new 1330. Block out some time right now to do that trip you've been
thinking about.

Hi Bob:

I personally have only had the side panel off to check the oil. Otherwise it's been a mechanic who got the lucky job of taking all the panels off

Will definitely share once we get the 1330!

Thank you again! ;)

Hello to you as well---

Hello to you too fellow Kansan! ;)

Our 2012 has been good to us. Just so many good things about the 2015 that we just felt it was time to switch up! Hate to say good bye to the Viper Red and Hello Circuit Yellow but it will be highly visible that is for sure.

It will be baby steps for longer trips for us, but eventually am sure a trailer and hitch will be coming as well. For now this is what we can do. Educators, ya know? (LOL)

We will be at Spyderfest for sure! It's coming fast. Thank you for the shot out! ;)

I'm about as "Non-Mechanically inclined" as a human can be; yet still be able to open doors and breathe at the same time... nojoke
The Owner's manuals have excellent instructions for the removal of all of the bodywork. You would really be helping yourself a lot, if you took the time to at least get familiar with how it all comes apart. It could just make a huge difference for you some day! :D
Download the online manual from BRP, and you don't even have to go dig the paper one out of the bike!

It's a scary process, and I read my owner about forty times, before tackling the process... it all worked out okay!

Ditto plus

The only piece I would add to what bob said, is there are some great YouTube videos that also show the panel removal process and will make sense of what you read in the manual. Not as scary as it make seem.
