• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RAM X-Grip

Trapdoor

I use the X-Grip to hold my smartphone even though the side-to-side movement irritated me. So I found a product at Home Depot that would dampen the side-to-side movement - Velcro coin #90362, black, 1-7/8" diameter. I cleaned the contact areas on the X-Grip and smartphone (Samsung S8). Then I attached the fuzzy half of the Velcro onto the X-Grip. Next, I placed the phone in the X-Grip and marked the contact patch on the phone for the other half of the Velcro. The Velcro kept the phone in-place even with the vibrations coming from the highway and city driving I did. Another plus is that the Velcro decreases the chance of the phone slipping out of the X-Grip.

Hey Dave will that work with a ram mount setup? I run a dual ram mount on my snowmobile and that would be awsome it it fit the ram mount clamps.

This is what I use on my sled and Spyder, I've rolled my sled and the phone never came loose, and for the record the phone mount on your Spyder will never come close to seeing the mile after mile hits that occur on a snowmobile, I've used this mount since 2012, 30,000 miles and have pounded the sled through miles of 3' moguls without any fear of losing the phone.

made of plastic, strong Aluminum
one hand operation.

If you have a Spyder Cuff with a 1 ball get the TF-Kit-38. It will attach the the ball with no extra arm clamp.

I have the setup Dave is talking about (Tackform phone holder on a Ram Mount) and I really like it. I've had it on for about 6,000 miles now, with no problems at all.

I recently switched to the Tackform using Lamonster Spyder Cuff on my F3. I have tried Ram and several others and I like the Tackform.

I have the Lamonster Spyder Cuff and the TachFom kit-38 works great. I like it better than the kit-36 because it doesn't need the extra arm. Keeps it closer to the handle bar.
