What is it and where does it go?

Looks to me like a left hand. That would normally go at the end of your left arm... :roflblack:
No, Please don't thank me, just glad to be of some help....

Air breather intake.
By the way what's up with your map you live in TN but only ride in Canada?:roflblack:
If so then why is there a big square air filter at the bottom of the wheel well?Air breather intake.

And what is the purpose of the resonator? 20a-h
That sure look like a might big resonator to me :yikes:A "resonator" on the intake system can have several uses. It can reduce intake pulsing which adveresely affects the fuel mixture. It can reduce intake noise, and it can help "tune" the intake length for maximum ram air effect. Air intake configurations can also be used to tune the engine to help meet EPA standards. With a small intake inlet to restrict the intake to meet noise and emissions regulations, the air stream can pulse excessively, and a "wide spot" in the line can reduce those problems. What BRP's purpose was is not known to me, but I'd bet on the first two reasons and adjusting for the restricted intake. JMHO
They have to have a large volume to dampen the pulses and reduce the intake noise. That sure look like a might big resonator to me :yikes:
Wow, I've learning something here. Two intake filter boxes, I guess this means 2 throttle bodies. Everything just got more expensive. lol
I figured one large throttle body feeding both cylinders, guess I was wrong. That's twice I've been wrong in my life now. :banghead:
Just one the one on the right is the resonator.
