There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ride-On Tire Sealant-question on dosage

I am wanting to add Ride-On to my new 2015 RT-Limited.

I just ordered 3 16oz bottles of the "Auto" formula ( I had used that in my 2012 RTS-SE5) Their website said you could use this formula but also said the Motorcycle formula was better.

I can't find a contact phone number for them---and can't really make sure of what their dosage calculator on their website is saying for dosage for the RT-Limited tires.

Anyone with any insight and knowledge on this particular application would be helpful.

Thank you in advance! ;)

Since I run car tires on mine I use the auto formula. I also ran it in the stock tires. I put 16oz in the rear and 12oz in each front tire.
Since the stock tires are basically cheep car tires there is no good reason to use the Motorcycle formula.

The auto formula works better in the Spyder tires because they are car tires. Ride-On used to say that and I'm not sure why they changed. Maybe a liability concern. Just dose as prescribed for the size car tire you are using. It's pretty simple.

I don't know the answer but when I change tires in my shop if there is anything in the tire other than air I charge a good bit more and that includes beads.

I changed my own tire with Ride-On in it. It was "stuck" around the inside of the tread area and it was sticky enough that it didn't move. I scraped it off which a flat credit card like tool and added it to the new tire. IMO Petty to charge extra for this, don't know about beads.

Do alot of people use Ride-on Tire sealant?

I believe the answer would be YES. Used to belong to the ventureriders group and it is very popular there. Believe the same is true for Wing groups, too which I also used to belong.

As far as charging extra to change tires with something in them, Ride On is not the same as slime. pitzerwm's description of Ride On is right. Beads on the other hand are a pain. The local Independent that I use does hundred if not thousands of tires annually, mostly for HD riders. He has no problem with Ride On and uses it and sells it himself. He hates beads because they usually end up all over the shop.

To me its a no brainer. Ride-On stops leaks, If you get a flat, you are more than screwed, Les Schwab can't show up and fix it right there. My stealership wants $300 just to change the tire. I'm assuming that it also balances the tire. I'm not that smart it seems to run smooth to me.

I've tried beads and they are fine for balance. But they won't stop a leak. Ride-On does both (better if you use the Auto and not Motorcycle version).

I've had some flats (never with Ride-On) and they are a pain. Not to mention dangerous. I use it, I like it and I recommend it. As mentioned before, it's not the mess that many think it is. My tire shop has never complained about changing a tire with Ride-On inside. It pretty much stays put and I'm throwing the old tire away anyway.

Dosage--question still----don't like Ride-on's dosage scales

Okay--so my next question is----

I have a 2015 RT-Limited. What have or is the proper dosage for this year and model with it's tires?

I have tried to use the Dosage charts and all at Ride-On's website and it isn't easy for this person. Can't find a "Contact Number" for Ride-on either, especially on their website.

I have purchased 3 bottles of the AUTO formula and it came today. So am curious what others have put into their 2015's?

Also is it still safe to raise the 2015 using a motorcycle jack under the mid-frame area like I did on my old 2012?

Thank you!

;)

Been at least a year since I talked with him, but try George Burns at 703-421-9778 or [email protected].

The two brothers that developed this product, Harry and Mark, would probably be willing to talk to you too.
