Roll Over

I couldn't remember if this question was posted or not but, has anyone heard of any roll over mishaps with the Spyders since their introduction.????

I do remember something about this too. I think it was deduced but never concluded clearly that the driver may have lifted a tire and baled and then the spyder rolled when it hit the ditch without the rider actually on it at the time. Please don't take this as fact, that is just what seems to come to mind.

anything can and will roll over at some time. From what I have read it is VERY uncommon to roll a spyder from input to the handle bars by the operator. Of course if you drive off a cliff it WILL roll.

Agreed...I'd say up to this point that there are no appreciable issues with rolling over...

Only rolls I remember reading about were where several guys bypassed the nanny and over they went.

On a couple of occasions, I've lifted a front tire in a turn without the VSS kicking in. Because I don't want to see how far a tire can lift before the VSS intercedes, I always throttle down to get the tire back on the pavement. Other times I've felt the VSS kick in with all three tires firmly on the ground in a corner. :dontknow: I'm pretty sure that a Spyder can roll over in a turn under the right (or should I say wrong) conditions of road, speed, rider, turn, etc. I pray I'm not the one to verify this. ray:

I'm not sure how valid those 'rollover' stories are. Never saw pics or hear anything more from those posters--- as far as I know.

My take is that for someone to roll one of these there has to be extreme operator error.
