• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's my opinion on my new Spyder that I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

Day 1 on the way home (approx 90 miles) the shocks were adjusted to the highest setting which was way too stiff for a 5' single rider. I was also experiencing a lot of vibration at low speeds and especially at 60 MPH. I couldn't even see in my mirrors they bounced so much. I had aftermarket wheels put on and we asked the dealer if they had been balanced and they said yes.

Second ride we adjusted the shocks down to 3 which was better but a little too mushy in the twisties and the vibration was still very bothersome. I was silently kicking myself for getting rid of my sporty RS.

Back to the dealer for an all day wait for my dear patient husband and he found out the wheels had been balanced but wrong. I was also having a black screen effect when you turn the key on and no Can Am Screen appeared. They fixed that as well.

Back home and ride #3. Shocks are at 4, wheels are balanced and I am loving every minute of the ride. It was windy and in the 80's yesterday and we tried it out at high speeds on the freeway passing lots of big trucks and then on lots of twisties. I was very impressed instead of a little depressed for selling my RS. I especially like the handlebars since I sometimes have trouble with wrist pain and never could get comfy on my RS. The bars seem to be just right for my short arms and I haven't encountered the pain I was having before.

My RT is the Full Moon Silver and I don't want any chrome so next week the lower pieces around the pegs, the handlebars and muffler pieces are coming off to get powder coated black. I have met with an awesome painter named Bert Ballowe to see what he can do on my beer budget. It is going to be fun!:ohyea:

Glad to hear you were able to get it sorted out, and are enjoying the new RT now. I wish you continued luck with it.

Good Luck and have fun!:2thumbs:

I spent a couple of days playing with the SE's last year and could not make myself buy. The RTS cured any hesitation I had. 4 weeks and 1500 miles have made me a true believer.:ohyea:
