There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ryker touring edition - saddlebags done different

Even the more hardcore fans of the Ryker can not dodge the fact that the bike has very limited luggage space.
I bought the OEM 16 litre top case, but it is just too small when wanting to bring some clothes, food etc.
I've browsed around for bolt on solutions but nothing tickled my fancy. The best custom solution Ive seen is what RykerRick has done, looks amazing, but require the linq rack :)
So after a lot of browsing I found a 65 litre bag from Givi, that seems both to fit my needs and be of good quality.
I made up some brackets to attach the straps, and I think it turned out pretty good. Bag takes like 30 seconds to attach or remove, it is held very firmly in place, and as a bonus it offers a huge back-rest

Now I cant wait for the spring and summer, so I can start riding the Ryker again

It does look great, and very nice job on the bracket. You definitely have plenty of storage for doing some long distance touring. I like that it quickly detaches so you can just detach and carry all your luggage into the hotel room.

For touring I added the following:

Three piece entitled luggage set from Slingmods
Ultimate Seat and backrest
Throttle lock
La Monster floorboards

I am ready

looks great .. but everyone should have a look to the rear shock - sometimes they are not strong enough .. I use now a spring-limiter ..

Very nice, it does indeed sounds like you have a good set up for touring :)
That 3 piece luggage looks great for a lot of storage. One thing I like about my solution is the fact you can easily remove the complete bag and carry it in a shoulder strap. :)

Thanks. I have actually kept an eye on the rear shock, using the dust on the shaft as an indicator of maximum compression and then checking clearance. Seems to be no issue at all for me, plenty of suspension travel left. For heavier riders or those with an passenger riding along I can totally see the need to look into the rear suspension though, and upgrade if need be :)
