• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Someone out there is using Cortech saddle bags. Are they the standard Cortech or the smaller Cortech sport bags?

I have the Cortech Tribag Saddlebags and my husband has the Sport version. Both look good and fit on the Spyder. There isn't that much extra room in the regular bags vs the Sport bags. I think I have a thread with photos somewhere. Yup here is the thread with photos of the bags with the straps going over the seat. I adjusted the seat post and now I put the straps under the seat. Easier for fuel. I don't know if there are photos of Brian's sport bags on here or not. If so I am sure he will direct you. http://www.spyderlovers.com/smf/index.php?topic=865.0

My Bro-in-law has the same set of bags he let me try on my :spyder: over the weekend to see how I liked them, I am going to get a set. They seem to work really well I didn't like the strap over the seat but I'm with youwork things to go under the seat when I get my own set of bags.

I think I'll try the Cortech Sport version so that there may be a little more room for my wife's feet on the passenger pegs. The large bags look like they may crowd the passenger's feet.

Also, I think it was Jeuchler that has the Nelson-Rigg Sport bags and put them on backwards and they made more room for the passenger foot pegs and didn't look bad either.

Thanks. I have a lot of Cortech stuff (jackets, gloves) so I think I'll try the Cortech Sport Bags from Competition Accessories (free shipping).

Like dltang said about the space in the regular Cortech bags versus the sport bags, I think they end up being very similar. The sport bags have a side zipper that runs completely around the outside edge of the bags. When you unzip that zipper, it expands the side of the bag by a couple inches giving you more internal storage space. They also have an external zippered side pocket for small stuff.

I actually ordered the Nelson Rigg Silver Streak mini sport saddlebags. While they are smaller than the Cortech Sport bags, they are a nice silver color that should look good with the silver Spyder.

BRP your going to like those.I went for NR 850,big bags but look nice on the spyder ,see pics on nelson rigg web site.Might help somone looking for bags to actually see what they look like on the spyder.Pretty sure ,theres a pic there of some cl-950 bags seen on Dryheats spyder in tuscon.Might be others shown there now.BRP nelson riggs was offering free expander straps for spyder owners buying there bags, people where saying they didnt think they had enough over lap on straps going over the seat. Have Fun and greetings from the Oregon Coast Dennis #824

That is one place where my Cortech sport bags fall short. The straps are too short for going over the seat. There is maybe only 1" overlap of the straps going over the seat. That increases to about 3" or 4" if I go under the seat. Unfortunately, I didn't know about Nelson-Rigg when I got my saddle bags. If or when they come out with a special Spyder tank bag, I may just buy a whole set from them, tank bag, saddle bags, rear seat bag.
