• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Scored at the Long Beach Motorcycle show.

Not only did I get to test ride the F3 but I got a new coat. Was looking at the Spyder coats and considered buying one ( all my coats have Harley Davidon patches on them) until once again the ridiculous pricing, I passed. A few more aisles away I find an identical coat to the T, but also had body armor in the sleeves and shoulder. Coat was made by 6 Gear (F3 has 6 gears) and I got it for $ 69.00 !!!. Much nicer than Can-Am's.

There is good stuff to be had in the aftermarket. Some day, the OEM people will catch on. :roflblack::roflblack:

There is a vendor on our home page called "Lynn Lees Embroidery & Designs" that makes some really nice embroidered Spyder patches that would sew right on that Harley jacket...

I'm in the process of having some cognac RT patches made and some custom embroidering done on several jackets...

Just another option....

And what is your report on the F3???

Just returned from Long Beach, and got to ride the F3-S. Where do I start....just sitting on the bike immediately you know there is something really different about the Spyder from all the others. The sense of unity hits you. Like a coupler married up to its adjoining part. The comfort is awesome as well as a felling of stability. I haven't even started the bike yet and my expectations were exceeded. I've been a Harley rider for ever, but to feel really secure on this F3 isn't a sensation one gets from a two wheeler. After a short safety video and once around the coned off track, we were fitted to the F3 based on height. Really felt like it was made for my reach and comfort.

My girlfriend was right in front of me, which is how we always ride, but now I'm on a Spyder rather than my Harley. We headed out the parking lot single file and hit the streets. After a block or so we were clear of all the venue traffic and went over a huge bridge with moderate traffic, but then it opened up along with my throttle ...holy mother of flight... These 1330 are better than a shoulder adjustment from my chiropractor. I was truly surprised of the speed, even after reading the dozen or so comments of the performance and speed. Wow is all I can add to my endless grin for the next 30-45 minutes of cruising through Long Beach. The only mix feeling I have now is my decision to test ride it, now I have to wait for mine to come in knowing this is the most fun I have ever had on a bike. Been riding since I was 9 and have been on a bunch of different rides, but now' 50 years later this is the best riding experience I have ever had.

I also meet several members including Scotty Broad from Spyder Ryder Of America, Los Angeles Chapter. Looking forward to joining up.

i thought you meant something else with the title.:opps:
sounds like you were impressed.
those f3s are growing on me.

I'll check out the jackets when the show comes to Dallas in January! The Austin jacket looks great... My only concern is the website stated the outer shell is Polyester, which is the weakest of jacket materials. I'm definitely excited to check out their products at the show - I really like the design!

Oh, how is the show - great bikes, lots of vendors?

@Vided...how else was I going to have you open my thread without that in the title. And yes PrairieSpyder that is my girlfriend..I double checked with her to reconfirmed..lol. The adjustments really do make it yours and fit her perfect . May have her RSS for sale. The F3 is everything that her RSS isn't, better reach, less stress and comfort.

Sadly..!!

there demo truck had 10 F3's and 1RT at the time we were there yesterday. They had great display and I (and the SRA chapters we rode in with) enjoyed the show. Have no interest in the new model, though a nice unit, the test area was a buzz. Testing without the windsheild seems to be a complaint heard a lot as well as no storage left on these spyders. Frunk will hold one helmet and a T shirt and the really expensive side bags may accomodate a good ryding jacket. The new spyder did get a lot of attention.

Glad you found a better jacket at a substantionally better price. There were good deal if you dug around a bit....:2thumbs:

You will definitely see me on a new F3, that is if the stop moving the delivery date. Started Nov/Dec, then Jan/Feb and now I hear Mar/Apr...at this rate I might as well wait for the F4.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you! :2thumbs:
Or I would; if I hadn't lost all of my coolest emoticons in the "Great Crash"... :banghead:
