• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SM10 Dongle Questions

Ok, I've read the material and I'm going to try to use the SM10 dongle for the first time with my Scala G9s. Do I need to switch the dongle on, or is it always live? Do I pair the GPS and my phone with it too, or does the phone work through the physical connection? Bluetooth isn't my strongest area of knowledge, and any help/suggestions you can offer would be appreciated.

I have the Sena SM10 Paired with my Sena SMH10 Headsets

The Sena SM10 has an internal battery that will need charging from time to time either via Mains supply on via the in car cigarette charger

Once charged up just slide the switch on the top to turn the SM10 on

I have a Spyder RT-S SE5 2010 Model with the Zumo 660 GPS

I connect my phone to the Zumo 660 via Bluetooth then the GPS is connected via Bluetooth to the Sena SMH10 Headsets -this gives me Directions, Phone calls and the internal MP3 Player

I have my on board radio connected via an Autocom stereo lead 3.5mm Plug into the SM10 Dongle
this gives me any audio output from the Onboard radio to my SMH10 Headsets via Bluetooth

If both are on the GPS will overwrite the dongle to allow Directions and Phone calls in that order and then the audio output from the Dongle

Not sure ref your Scala G9s Headsets but I would pair your phone to the GPS then the GPS to your headsets and then the dongle to the Headset

One tip I have found when using the SM10 Dongle - Switch the SM10 Dongle on 1st then the Headset
I find with my Sena SMH10 it seems to connect better that way My GPS connects itself via the Spyders power supply once the ignition is on

I have the Scala G4 and the configuration you reference where you pair the phone and the headset with the GPS flat out does not work with the SM10 dongle and the g4. I was configured this way before the sm10 and it worked well.

If the GPS interrupts the audio from the sm10 the sm10 never reconnects until you stop and power all down then back up.

I have my phone and the sm10 paired with the headset. The sm10 and the fps are hard wired to the radio. His works reasonably with the only difficulty being initial connexion of the sm10 to the g4.
