• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So, is the Comfort Seat...

seat

i bought it and i like it very much. it puts me a lil further back and i don't feel like i am pushed up to the front of the bike. i was lucky can am had a demo ride at a dealer and there were two rt's there one with the stock seat and one with the comfort seat so i got to try them out

Jim,
It's pretty nice... But it does rob space from the passenger!
That's not an issue for you and Kris...
...just sayin'...

Thanks guys. The long trip we took to Delaware last week wasn't really all that comfortable on the stock seat. I got a bad case of a$$aritis. I'm going to see if my dealer will let me test drive a Spyder with the comfort seat.

The BRP comfort seat is a better seat for me than the OEM. I replaced the OEM seat on the 2011 with the Comfort Seat. It gives more support on the bottom, and moves the driver back a little bit. The downside is that it robs a little more room from the passenger.

Compared to the OEM seat, I can ride much more comfortable and complete any ride I go on. At $599.99 it is not real cheap--but is less than some others. I would give it :thumbup:

I took my friend's Spyder in for service last week and she has the comfort seat. I really like it a lot it is firmer than the stock seat and it suits me much better than the Corbins and Ultimates that I have sat on. I'm really thinking about getting one of them on my new machine. My dealer has had one hanging on his wall for a very long time and I'm hoping that he will make me a smokin deal on it! I know I won't have the hole cut for the backrest but I could always go with the Utopia.

Go for it. If you can talk the dealer into a deal--even better. I have my original 2010 OEM seat with a Utopia attached. Cutting the hole did not damage the seat at all. It will go back on the 2010 when I sell or trade it off. Currently has a Corbin on it.

Don't know..!!

about the RT's but the comfort seat on our RS works much better for us. True the passenger area is smaller but sits a bit higher and allows the passenger to sit upright and not lean forward. Can't speak for the others but we love this one. Got it on ebay much cheaper...!!

Bruiser
If your going to get one, consider getting the 2014 model! It will fit 2010-2014 RT'S
its been redone and u can add the backrest
look at the pictures.
i hope my research is correct.

I have one and it made a real diferance in the ride and body placement on the roadster. It set you back about 2". I put a backrest on my seeat also. Far as I know BRP offers a replacement backrest for the passenger to gain back some of the lost space for the pasenger. Bob

Thanks everyone. I'm going to look at this as my next mod. Can't do it for Kris. Since she is height challenged it would put her too far back. I see TriAxis handlebars in her future. Now I just have to win the lottery, go back to work, or rob a bank.

Go for door #1. The others can have bad consequences. :roflblack:
