• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sold the sleds, winter hobbies

Looks like a long winter ahead, after 25 years we gave up sledding. Spyder is away, already looking for warm weather.

I did the same thing 5 years ago ..... I live in a rural area, and the snowmobiling was great.... however I stopped going on weekends due to too many idiots on the trails..... I would only go during the week .... and there was no one on the trails, which was great - however if I had a break-down it would have been a long walk. My snomobile buddies had all given it up or died, so I returned to downhill sking .... so far so good but I'm now having leg issues, so this may end also - - - it S*cks getting old .... We're content, had a good run. No break downs, no accidents, no tickets. Wife is going to retire and it's part of the plan.
Changing weather, sled nuts on the trail, older bones, it all contributed.
Pete, hope you're more comfortable.

Thanks, I'm doing much better now.

It sounds like you're proactively making a lifestyle change based on your new realities. That's what Jane and I do. Our friends are quite puzzled by our choices sometimes, but then they come to understand and support us. We try to think 5 years ahead and plan 6 months ahead. Good luck to you both.

I am sorry to hear that you sold your sleds.

(off topic: I'll put miles on my sled for both of you, if we get snow).

Like we seniors say, "It's hell getting old!" Told the preacher a while back that if he ever wanted to preach a really good sermon on hell just talk about the lives of us old people.

So Saluda if you need something to fill in a little time, watch "Itchy Boots" seasons 1 - 6 on YouTube. Young Dutch girl travels the world by motorcycle. Great fun.

New Spyder?

We're content, just adjusting. $$ going toward the new Spyder.

Almost missed this, New Spyder?
What Spyder are you looking to get?
I have thought about a new one but the
Wife said 'Sorry, no payments'.

I know she is right but it was just plain 'no'.

Stay Healthy. ....
