• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thought I'd post up some photos of my just installed ebay handguards on my RT S2S.

These are Chinese knockoffs of the Puig Avant handguards which cost $90 on Amazon. They came with silver accents, not black. The silver braces screw off easily and are easily corrected with a couple coats of satin black spray paint. I didn't use the silver end pieces.
I needed to purchase:

A.) (2) stainless M6-1.0 x 30 screws (I wanted either socket cap or button head but the store was out)
B.) (2) 1/4-1" stainless fender washer and
C.) (2) 1" rubber washers for in between handguard and OEM end cap (I cut my own from a piece off old inner tube).

Total cost was $17.99 handguards and $2.50 for hardware.

I like the way these look. Not dirt bike big or boy racer looking. They're smaller than most handguards, but they should help. They'd also work on F3 models. Just some FYI.

Decent alternative to Barkbuster Storm guards.
Yeah. The Storm would certainly be more effective, but they're HUGE. I likely would have gotten the black/black VPS plastics, but they would have been $140 with braces. Then I'd likely have remorse over not getting the carbon fiber guards. They would have been $300! I'll try my $21 guards first. :)

Are you using these just as is, or will you put something like the Paws or Hippo Hands style Winter handguards over these for extreme winter ryding? These look smaller (vertically, and it could just be the photographic distortion) than the front face of my hands on the grips.

I will use as is. Here in Wisconsin, my riding season will basically be over in about 5 weeks, or when salt hits the roads. I'll wear light gloves to go along with my heated grips. They are not very big, and their main intent is to just deflect some air off my finger tips. I have bigger handguards, but they look a bit out of place on the RT (versus my past F3S).
