I hit a speed bump a little too hard and tore some of the thermowrap on my cat bypass, see picture. A friend suggested welding a 6" long by 1" wide standoff on the pipes so they would not tear up the thermowrap. Anybody try this? The thermowrap would go underneath the standoff and would be protected a little more, plus the pipe wouldn't get razzed.
