There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyder Lift questions

It should, might have a clearance problem on the side. I have a HF lift (yellow one) that works great to pick it up, but when I let it down, it drops like a rock.nojoke The release valve seems to have 2 positions -open and closed. You might check the release on this one.

My one concern would be if it can slide under the Spyder far enough to get the lift under the frame. My floor motorcycle lift has to be pushed under until the upper mechanism of the lift is touching up against the lowest plastic panel. The one I use looks just like this one.

I have one of those left over from the Valkyrie and the 4 wheelers.

I can see that concern which is why I asked.
On the up side , if it will work, it goes a lot higher. Thats what I was looking for.

Once I get my Spyder I guess I will just go buy one and try it out. I can return it if it it doesnt work. (We have a store local)

Lamonster's Lift

It's a great looking lift:2thumbs:, but, they are discontinued :yikes:. Looking to sell your's Lamonster? I didn't find any on EBay, Craig's list either. I went to Sears, their ATV lift works. Just gotta watch out for the Tupperware on the bottom edges.:opps::opps::lecturef_smilie:

Interesting lift there... by just going on the specs:

 •
 • 1100 lb. weight capacity
 • Max. lifting height: 30", Min. lifting height: 2.6

It looks like it will be ok, HOWEVER, the side panels and front tires may be in the way of the lift frame??? Just a thought.

Interesting, as I had questions about such jacks recently, also.

I went with the following jack and it works GREAT for lifting the spyder. It lifts the entire Spyder, all three wheels off the ground, safety (has a built in safety feature), locking wheels, and fits under it fine, good clearance and max lift height.

 • Lowest clearance available, 3-1/2" at lowest level
 • Wide lift range of 3 1/2" to 16 3/4"
 • Removable handle provides 360 degree access to load
 • Foot pedal release, locking rear casters and automatic safety lock
 • Two-year warranty

Cheers and good luck.

PS - With which ever lift you use, be sure to mind the area under the spyder you'll be placing and lifting the jack. If you are back too far, it looks like you may b lifting on the pipe instead of the frame.

Careful.
cheers.

I have the same lift and you have to be careful letting it down. If you don't depress the release lever hard and quick enough, it does drop like a rock.

I am considering a lift. I looked up the specs on the the red and black Craftsman. It says minimum height is over 5 inches. Is anyone using this particular model?

The 5-inch clearance the item says it has, I think, is higher then it actually is, according to the picture.:dontknow: It also looks very very similar to mine - the OTC 1545 stinger from above, which has a 3.5 inch clearance, which works GREAT on my 2010 RS.

Note the clearance posted in the Spyder manual is 4.5inches. Best be sure of that lift before you purchase it, and get it home and not be able to use it. If you could see that jack in person, and measure the clearance when all the way down, that would be best.

Cheers.

Thanks groundeffect, i was wondering what that model was.

Yep, the 1545. I was even using it today. It has a 1500 capacity, a little over twice that of the Spyder RS. I really love that lift. It goes up good and high and I can work on my Spyder while sitting on a small mechanics chair, no problem. Another think about this lift I like is that it comes with safety straps, a nice extra. Even though I don't usually spend any long amount of time directly under the bike while it's lifted, it does have safety locks in case it was to fail. Careful out there.

I picked my 1545 up at NAPA.
Cheers.
