Spyder Lift?

I got a call the other day about a company that is making a lift for the Spyder. The company is claiming there is no good way to lift a Spyder now and that's why they are making this lift just for the Spyder.

I have not seen this lift but I can tell you that you don't need a special lift to work on the Spyder. I have two MC lifts that work just fine for the Spyder. I think I paid $65 bucks for one of them and I bought this one at Sam's Club a while back for about a $100 bucks and it works just fine.

Have you - or anyone - put some sort of jackstand like support under each tire once up in the air?

For one thing - safety - and another some of what you need to get to is blocked by the lift itself

Unreal. Does he really think most dealers 'lift up the spyder with chains and wooden blocks' ?

I bought an ATV lift very similar to Lamonsters at Sears - for around $170 and it works GREAT. Just make sure you don't get it under the pipe - which would be a problem with the 'marcel lift' too.

Seeing as most Spyder dealers are also ATV dealers and/or snowmobile dealers - I'm sure they have ATV lifts.

I have the red on from sears....it works for me just fine. But then again I dont take apart the whole bike like Lamonster does

Both ( Lamonster's & Marcel's ) work, but they differ and probably perform differently. Lamonster's post was constructive and nicely illustrated lift options. ( which I am interested in, by the way, so thanks again Lamont )

I also use the yellow, lightweight aluminum one from Sears. Bought it for earlier bikes and it works just dandy on the Spyder. I don't remember what I paid for it but it wasn't close to what they currently list for.

I also have a motorcycle lift similar to the others pictured here. I got it at Autozone for around $60 last summer. The Spyder is tippy when raised just by the motorcycle lift. Once I get it in the air, I put jack stands under the front A-arms before I do any work.
