• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Not Starting, but starter works when terminals jumped - Where do I go from here?

2012 Spyder RT: looking for some TS ideas. Spyder sat for 2 years, installed new battery, can get to the start screen, push "start" nothing. Charged up battery, pulled start switch and checked the contacts, appears okay, "bubbles over contact still good, bubble depressed by switch - no issues. Went to solenoid, jumped across terminals - starter engages. Where do I go from here? Thanks in advance!
 
If you have pressed the Mode Button in order to get past the Safety Card Screen to the Main Screen, and you have your foot firmly on the brake, you also need the Kill Switch in Run for it to crank. Kill Switch not in Run prevents cranking.

PS. And if a SM5, pull in clutch and shift to Neutral.

Sometimes after 2 years, I find that a person forget things.
Hopefully you will recall the 'starting process' for your Spyder.
