I am glad that the Missouri Rendezvous turned out to be such an outstanding event. I wish I could have joined you but this little angel (okay, okay, okay…maybe a devil) on my shoulder kept saying “You’re going to be with Gene for 3 weeks. Isn’t that enough?”

Now that you guys had your excitement, it’s time for me to get PSYCHED about our upcoming adventure next month. I know that some of you are going to join us for portions of our trip. Thank God, Dick and I will have someone else to talk with.

I’m doing some pre-work on the website we have created to chronicle our trip. Check it out. It will grow as we progress.

Would like to know who may be joining. Just tell us which legs you will ride with us. We’re supposed to meet up with ryders from NW Arkansas in Joplin MO. Originally. We were going to meet at Fuddrucker’s but it has since closed. So I was thinking of doing a BYO “picnic” at Schifferdecker Park in Joplin (right on 66) with everyone that is with us there. That okay with all?

This is a “rough” of our itinerary but it will change as we ride. If the WiFi at the motels work, we will keep our website updated each night for the following day.

If things go as planned, we'll spend the 1st night in Tulsa. Should arrive about 6 PM on 16 May. Will set off after breakfast for Shamrock TX
