Installed battery tender leads today directly to battery posts.
Was shocked at how loose the pos terminal was, went to loosen, was zero resistance, hard to believe I wasn't having any issues.
Note to self, 5/8 grommet takes a 1 inch hole

There are no down sides to having and using a battery tender. Use it every time you park and every time you come back, your bike will start. I do this every time out.

As to why your terminal was loose, ask your dealer who assembled your bike and you will know why your terminal was loose.

Your not the first to find this...:banghead: seems many are forgetting to tighten the battery cables at setup and service. And your right about being lucky you had no problems. :gaah:

THE CIGAR LIGHTER PORT IS USED FOR MY TENDER (which i seldomly use, because i ride all the time)...
I WIRED IT DIRECTLY TO THE BATTERY, AND IT'S LIVE ALL THE TIME...
