• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you BRP....

Lamont and all the contributors to this website.I was one of the :spyder2:owners who had problems with extreme backfiring in hot weather after the update.I came to the conclusion that my :spyder2:was running too lean after the update and reading many of the posts. I broke down and bought the Twobros Juicebox and installed it last Friday.WOW!
It went from running like a spastic rabbit to the Energizer bunny!I probabably would have waited for my warranty to runout before installing the JB had it not been for the recall. Now I am wondering if I should clamp off the purge valve and see how it runs or do I want the extra air intake?

P.S. I luv you guys!

Glad it's working so well for you. The Spyder is great when it's right.

You want all the air intake you can get, but through the top of the throttle boddies, not unmetered air from any source, including the evap canister.

At certain times unmetered air really doesn't matter all that much. That is why BRP programs the Purge Valve to open and close. The idea being to open it when it won't matter and close it when it does matter.

Trouble occurs when the program or faulty purge valve does not accomplish this.
