• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks to this Forum....

Being a relatively new Spyder owner and ryder, I, as many, have had much to learn about this exciting and exhilarating mode of travel. I probably would not have known such intracasies as high revs to save the clutch; don't ride the brake; better stability with high shock setting and any number of other logical and well thought out recommendations, to say nothing of the great ideas and how to's on modifications.

Lots of the things I learned from the Forum are likely and certainly in the owners manuals but, alas, not everyone reads his or her's throughly. And just think: if some of our seemingly naive questions weren't asked and answered here, thousands of other owners would miss out on the educational experience and our sport would suffer.

So, with that bit of effusion I say "Hats off to the great and generous posters on here who do so much to make Spydering one of the hottest new thrills in the Country and around the world!" :bowdown:smoky

Yes, thanks for all the good information, even more so because so much of it 'isn't' in the manuals or dealer knowledge banks.

I concur...

"Lots of the things I learned from the Forum are likely and certainly in the owners manuals but, alas, not everyone reads his or her's throughly."

True, but I did read mine thoroughly and some of the stuff I learned here contradicts the owner's manual i.e. putting 19-20 psi in front tires, or setting the stock shocks on 5, even without a passenger, but those giving the advice were right. Truth is there are a number of people on this site, who if agree on a topic, I will trust over and above the owner's manual, dealer's advice, or any of the other various sources of info around. This site and these people add a lot to the experience of owning a Spyder, I am amazed at what I learn and I've only been here for two months

This place is the best. I think that people who own Spyders and don't visit this site are not getting all they can out of their Spyder experience.

Hey Smokey-
Look at it this way, there's a few folks here that, save answering questions, really wouldn't have any reason to come off the Spyder or out of the garage :) :)

But seriously.... In software world we call it a "KB", or knowledge base. Basically that is, at it's core, what SpyderLovers is. Fueled by experienced Ryder's from multiple perspectives, collected by a visionary, made available to all who come.
