Thirty Years ago today...

Amanda Jean was born.

Within a few hours after a difficult birth she was airlifted to a hospital in Va. She spent the next two weeks in NICU. We nearly lost her.

Fast forward thirty years

One doctor told us when she was 1 1/2 years old to "put her in an institution". We didn't listen to him. So today she will celebrate her 30th with her housemates, her God Parents, friends, and mom and dad. She will forever be our baby girl.

The time flies by so quickly. Many nights I look at the graduation pictures of my sons, and wonder how the years went by so fast.

We need to take each day and smell the roses.
