• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time Marches On

That it is..!!

Soon history will follow the path of geography in our school system. :banghead: but then too many think history is what happened yesterday and old is anything over 20..:roflblack:nojoke

It may have just been a "pinprick", but it let Japan know that we were getting serious about the whole deal...

I know about the raid. I am guessing most of the current history students do not. A subject not in the forefront any more. :(

As for not knowing history, it is very bad.
As for the Doolitlle Raiders,, I was in the PGR bunch that escorted them from the Hotel to the Museum for their last get together and we talked with them before we left. This was last Novemember.
I was stationed at Eglin AFB, FLAwhere they trained for the mission. It really brought home how short that deck was for take off. Marked off, this dab of runway was the length of the carier deck. Wish I had pics of it, but that was lang ago. Then they took off, knowing their odds of getting home were very slim. The Nation owes them Thanks
