• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got my permit but I'm anxious to get my license. I know the skills test are similar to motorcycle but with some change in measurements. But wondering which are harder to do on a Spyder or easier so I know what to practice. Any additional info is appreciated. Thanks!

evasive maneuvering and emergency stopping I think are the 2 main things to learn. read up on them.

Pa has a free safety class that is very enlightening if your new to motorcycles. At the end of the class your permit is stamped by the instructor and your mailed your new license. Might check with your state.

Ohio test

It has been a while since I did mine, keep in mind that in Ohio, if you get or have the two wheel permit you can ride a three wheel. If you get the three wheel you cannot ride a two wheel.

The course is the same for both except they widen some of the turns for the three wheel, personally I could have done it on the Spyder but not a trike.

My suggestion is that you visit the testing center with the book. Walk through the course as best you can, they will let you do that, you CANNOT test Ryde the course. But if you pay attention to what they ask you to do and rehearsed it before hand you will be fine. If in doubt ask! They are OK with that, just make sure that you know what you are to do.

Good luck,
Joe

My only advice is "don't tip it over". Our instructor said that is an automatic fail. :roflblack::roflblack:

Ohio Motorcycle Saftey Course

Take the safety course offered by the state. It's a sixteen hour course for ALL levels. Covers everything from basic traffic regulations to situational awareness to the road course. Can be done in two days. Cost is 50 dollars and most insurance companies will discount your premiums after completion. Finish the course and they give you a card to take to DMV and get your license no test required. You do the test as part of the class and practice as you go.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Ryde safe, Rich and Rhonda
