• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice ride! We started out at 9:15AM. It was about 48 degrees. Cool, yes! But, really felt good. It reached about 66 degrees for a high on our ride. Here are some photos.... (this lake was formed when the Mississippi River backed up during an earthquake caused by the New Madrid fault (Formed Feb. 7th, 1812). The lake is 15,000 acres.

At the visitor center (where 2 Bald Eagles are kept)..... The Bald Eagles actually come to the lake to migrate.

Thanks everyone! It was a fun day, and our longest ride yet. I feel it a bit this morning; as does my Wife. But, what fun!

Oh!! :2thumbs:

The Garmin Zumo 450 GPS was a great aid, too! I very well might have run out of gas without it! :yikes: Oh yes. We got around one side of the lake soon after the gauge went to 1 bar. And, I began to panic just a little. I wasn't sure just how much fuel I had left. But, I did know that all I was seeing was fields, some water, and no 'gas stations'. Lol!!
So, I finally stopped. And, punched it gas stations (or whatever that icon is :)). Very cool! I was just 6.2 miles from a BP. Of course, upon arriving, I soon realized, there was more fuel left than I thought - over a gallon. :D

Greg, Great pics! Looks like a fun ride. I often forget just how big this state is, I checked MapQuest it is 481 miles to Tiptonville from where I am in Eastern TN.
Glad y'all had a good time.

Wes
