• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We just got back from going to see my sister in a nursing home just outside of Lebanon, Pa. It was 37 deg. when we left about 7:30 this morning but we were warm with the layers we had on. Stopped at Binghams for breakfast and when we left there it was up to about 55 deg, so were able to shed some layers from there on down. By the time we got to where my sister was it was in the mid 60s and it was sunny all day long. Coming home it was about 72degs. when we left down there but most of the way back it was in the mid 60s 'til we got to Marathon then it went down to the high 50s. It was a really nice trip and it still amazes me how easy it is to travel on the Spyder, we were averaging 75-80 mph and ended up doing 455 miles today. I'm afraid this is probably about the end of the riding season this year,:( but I'm not going to winterize it for 2 to 3 weeks just hoping we might get some more good weather. It was a great day on the road!!:ohyea::yes:

Glad you were bundled up and toasty warm for the trip...Nice riding weather .... :D:yikes::roflblack:

It was good to see my sister again today.

It really was a great ride and it was good getting to see my sister again. She is 19 years older than me (she is the oldest sibling and I am the yougest) and she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease about 5 years ago and it has progressed to where my nephew could not keep her at their house any longer because she needs constant care. It sure is hard to see someone who was so much alive being attacked by such a cruel disease. She always recogonizes us but sometimes she doesn't recogonize her sons, it's a terrible disease and so sad what it does to people. We had planned on going earlier this fall, but something always kept coming up preventing the trip, but glad the weather was so nice today that we could ride the Spyder!

BTW I have ordered a First Gear Thermo Suit from Bajaron and expect it by Friday so that should eliminate some of the layering. We hope to get one for my wife also after we see how this size fits her. Can't wait to get it!

The past several days have been just great for riding... They serve to remind us that these days are growing more and more precious as the end of the season approaches.
