Trip of a Lifetime

The trip is going well. Made it to Santa Monica on schedule. It was GREAT riding with Mo Lee and xpeschon even if we did get SOAKED!! Also great meeting BumbleBee and getting to meet and ride with Tom in NM, Desert Spyder, and spyderflyer.

The ride up the Pacific Coast Highway was spectacular. Crossing the Nevada desert left a lot to be desired...barren and boring. Dick split off to visit his son in Denver for a few days. I depart tomorrow for Montana. Looking forward to visiting the Grizzly and Wolf Center in West Yellowstone MT and touring the northern portion of Yellowstone National Park.

Dick and I purchased a special pass for seniors at the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park...$10 for a LIFETIME pass good at all national parks. Otherwise it's $25 a park to enter.

I'll rejoin Dick in Denver and we'll finish the trip across Kansas together.

We miss Gene (never thought I'd say that)...as great as the trip has been, it's just not the same without him.

Guys, I really enjoyed meeting you and spending some time leading the way and following too. There is so much to see, but you would have been forever getting out to the Pacific.

Glad I got a chance to share a small slice of NM with you. It was a treat for me, too.

Be careful and enjoy every mile of it.

It was great seeing you again Irish and meeting Dick for the first time. Glad to hear the trip is going well. Ride extra safe while you are by yourself because when it comes to small vehicles there is safety in numbers.
