• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello

I drive a RTS SE5 2012

Good day. I was finally able to get out for 80KM's today.

I was going about 110KM (approx 65 miles per hour). I wanted to shift down from 5th gear to 4th and I notice it would not. The engine light came on and the dash board where it shows which gear you are in showed the letter "E". Lost all power so I got it to the side of road. I turned the engine off for about two mintes and re-started it. Started with no problem but the enine ligh stayed on for about 20 seconds after restart. The "E" went away too after about 20 seconds. I checked oil and it's right up. I put on another 50KM's after this happend and all was well, with no problem again.

Q- Any ideas as to what happended?

- any idea what the letter "E" meant on the dashboad.

- refresh my memory please, what is the normal RPM at idle speed ? I'm thinking 1300 to 1400

Thanks for any input.

Doug.

E is gear position sensor error screen code. With the key on. Press mode, set, and turn signal at the same time for any code it may have thrown. Have something to write with handy.

You're right on on the RPM's.

Let's see..!!

your gear position sensor may be the culprit. You could check the wiring etc but if your not familiar have the dealer check it out. This may not happen again for a while or at all but better be safe and not stranded..
