• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Uh, why are people allowed to pray "on the clock"?

Unfortunately, our CIC will sick the AG and the DOJ on this poor company and they will lose. When they lose, we all lose. But there-in lies the overall plan.

H&C people, H&C. We voted for it TWICE!

Religion is fine outside of office hours, pray to your god(s) on your own time, not company time. Getting all butthurt is no different than christians screaming persecution over a starbucks cup; buncha whining sissies. HTFU or STFU people!

I can understand a Company trying to be sympathetic to the beliefs of it's workers.
But when those beliefs start hurting productivity; those workers should consider finding a job, where their praying is not going to hurt the Company that is paying them....

I am often pray at work, "please God, help me not to loose it and go ape crazy and kill all of these MF". But I never took time off the clock to do it. I worked for the postal service for 2 1/2 years in the early 90's, and you will never guess how many lives were saved by me praying and God giving me the strength not to do what I wanted to donojoke. Now that I am self employed and have my own business, I often pray, but it is to thank God for blessing me to see another day and for having a great job to go to:pray:. Good times or bad times, I am still blessed.nojoke

Actually, 'Religion' or a personal relationship with God is of no value if it isn't 24/7. A person can pray all they want without leaving the production line. You don't have to be in a church, get down on your knees or close your eyes to talk to God. These guys are just trying to push Shariah law on the rest of us. There are places in America where at least some aspects of Shariah law is enforced.

All of the above...

:mad::banghead: hooded drivers, special classrooms for prayer (several times a day) now this...:yikes: they are winning...:banghead::banghead:

i just remembered a time i saw a man praying on a subway stop at grand central station in the city. this was before 9/11 so i would of never thought of a terrorist thing. it was early in the morning, i am guessing right b4 sunrise. i was standing there waiting for my train to go downtown when all of a sudden, this man puts down his back pack, takes out a small rug, lays it down on the platform and gets on his knees and starts praying. like i said, it was b4 9/11 and i never gave any thought to this except that i thought it was strange, and i can remember walking away from him with a few other people. now i have said a pray or two in my time when i feel i needed to. i can pray walking, driving, riding, and no one can tell i am praying.

ok i just remembered that after my first post. so i thought i would share

 I've prayed in stranger circumstances...

Here is a story posted late today here in WI. Muslims saying they're "out of a job" because Ariens won't let them walk off the job whenever they want, to pray.

http://www.channel3000.com/money/ariens-co-manufacturer-changes-prayeronthejob-policy/37474174

The articles I read stated that the company was OK with up to 3 workers at a time taking a break for prayers, but not all the workers from a production line. If they aren't taking any more break time than anyone else, should not have been a problem. I have worked with Iraqis and dealt with the prayer issue. Personally I have had US workers abuse smoke break privileges more than the Iraqi prayer break folks.

I believe the company was right in firing them for walking off the job, but don't really care what anyone does with their break time as long as all the employees get the same amount of breaks.
