• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wife and I visited Owls Head Transportation Museum today and this is one of many unique vehicles they had on display. Enjoy. Bruce

Love it..!!

a three seater...we're not there yet. Love the hand crank on the floor. Does the passenger crank..?? Thanks for the photos...:2thumbs::clap:

Looks like no brakes, and you would need a strong right arm for steering. 24 mph doesn't sound fast, but I with no brakes :yikes:

I rode one of these at age 10 when we lived at Barbers Point-Oahu_Hawaii in 1952. They were used for parts shuttle at the Navy Base.3 wheel government scooter.jpg I would go to my Dad's hangar after school and ride home with him.

wow! Look at all that storage! How did it handle on the interstate there in Hawaii?
My Dad was leading chief of his squadron (Fasron 117) so I used to ride/drive the scooter around the hangar and outside on the concrete pad. In 1952, there was no interstate in Hawaii. It was a US territory then and statehood was still in the future. Most of the roads were 2 lane and poorly maintained except on the base where they were in great shape. We lived in a rented Quonset hut on Makaha beach on the north side of the island for 6 months while waiting for government housing at BArber's Point NAS.

Friend-a-mine had one of these Cushman scooters in the mid-fifties. It was red with a natural wood colored box. I remember riding in the box while he drove.

Great picture!
