Watershed motomitts

Even with heated gloves my hands got cold at speed so I bought a pair of motomitts

They take a couple rides to get used to but this mornings 44 degree pouring rain ride my hands were dry and warm

Braving the weather and quick windshield swaps.

I too rode into work in this weather, but I have a large F1 Windscreen. I was about to suggest Alton get one, but remembered that he would never be seen with one. :roflblack: The thought did ocur to me though, does anyone have any ideas on how to quickly swap a sport windhield for a large fairing-style one, for driving in inclement weather??

You have to get the mirror extenders. I'll try to get a picture up as soon as I can figure it out. :gaah:
I'm still riding with fingerless gloves (except in the rain) because the fairing keeps the wind off my hands. Your mileage may differ...

Mitts. I've been thinking about doing something like that because it gets pretty cold here in Michigan.

Those look nice. I'm on a tight toy budget, so instead of the Bentley-grade mitts, I got a set of Ducks Unlimited ATV mitts. Unlike the Pacific Northwest, once it gets cold here in Ohio, waterproofing isn't a big issue, and for less than $20 (Motorcycle Superstore, but I bet they're available at local places), I've been comfortable in 20 degree weather and last night, in sleet. Still wearing my summer gloves, and the mitts fit over the big RT-S clusters. Of course, I do have to fiddle to remember where everything is... My 2₵.

Swapping out just the windshield should be just a 5 minute task once you do it once or twice. Adding the lower air deflectors (if you have them) would add a bit of time to that.

I got some hand muffs from my dealer for about $35. They aren't as big as the ones altonk got but they do serve the purpose of keeping wind off my hands so my hands stay a lot warmer and for a lot longer than just winter gloves alone. They do block about 95% of my mirrors so I am thinking of ordering the Up-and-Out extensions from ESI.

Thanks for the link :thumbup:. I just ordered a pair tonight. I have been wearing $6 gloves and as of last night $15 liners. It has been in the 20's this week but these should help get me down into the teens. hyea:
