• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

weight limit

IANAL.

Legally, from a safety standpoint, any insurance/warranty/ambulance chaser worth their salt would use over-the-weight-limit as an excuse to deny coverage/reimbursement/defense/etc.

Practically, many riders have exceeded that limit on the RS by modest amount-- it's hard NOT to do so if you're healthy-sized people riding two-up, full-geared.

The recommendation is to set your shocks to maximum, and always appreciate that you have a lot of weight on the suspension, i.e. when over the limit, avoid hoonage, slooooooow over curbs and potholes, etc. You can EASILY bottom out, and the Nanny won't necessarily be there to snap you back into place if you cook too hot into a curve.

Max I had running was over 600 lbs at one point; Spyder ran okay enough, but it was obvious that I *wasn't* riding solo, and I sure as heck didn't ride like a hoon.

OVER THE WEIGHT LIMIT

My biggest concern on this would be the braking ability....I would try to leave a bigger margin for stopping....the Spyder brakes are great ....But the heavier the load the longer it will take to stop....I learned that dramatically at accident investigation school.....Mike....Be careful out there...:thumbup::thumbup:

We all would probably advise against it unless you were VERY careful. Those limits are set with what might go wrong "at the limit"... Staying as far as possible from whatever that is; ou might be able to get away with it.
But then again...
Tire and suspension set to "max" and take it easy while you learn what the dance is gonna be!

Just remember and mods that u install also counts as weight like bags, floor boards and everything else
