• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I see Fred just joined the board.

If you look at his profile you'll see he's been around the block a time or two and I'm sure he'll be a real asset to this board.

I got to spend some quality time with Fred in Hollywood and he's pretty excited about the Spyder and for a two wheeled warrior like Fred to get excited about the Spyder is saying a lot about the machine and BRP. I hope to hookup with Fred in the next couple of weeks while he's at the BMW rally.
welcome

Hey Fred

Welcome, Fred! We have not met, but we have some friends in common - Brian Rathjen and Shira Kamil from Backroads magazine. About a year and half ago they published an article I wrote about a motorcycle trip to the "Mothman" site in West Virginia. At that time, I had a Kawasaki Concours, before I was Spyder bitten and subsequently infected.

Cheers,

Bruce

That is one cool guy!

Fred, welcome aboard your new journey, and enjoy getting caught up in the web.
That video of his Adventure Tours makes you want to get out there on the road with him....

Welcome Fred. I've been reading and enjoying your column for several years. The last one I read was about your Spyder introduction. Two days later my wonderful wife told me she doesn't feel like she wants to continue to try to learn to ride her Silver Wing, & wanted a trike. With your article fresh in my mind, I took her to the local Spyder dealer the next day (Saturday), found one she liked and bought it the following Tuesday.

I guess you took your wife's suggestion and got one too. Aren't wives wonderful? :2thumbs:
