• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome, propbuildervash

Hello! New Spyder owner...or perhaps its better to say my wife is the new owner and I am the newly designated maintenance tech and farkle installer.

Snagged a 2019 RTL with 1700 miles for 15K for the wife, she likes to ride, she dislikes driving bikes, shes had two a scooter 160cc and a 250cc kawasaki and never warmed up to them at all.

Anyways bike had two road trips, the owners brother died (his riding buddy and then the next year he developed dimensia. Bike spent 2023-2026 sitting in his shop on a tender. I bought the bike and have been getting it ready to ride for the wife.

Flushed brakes
ordered oil change kit
battery is tanking as we speak so I am going to replace that today, probably with the NOCO 20L
New tires ordered 175/55/R15 Quatrac for the front and a 215/60/R15 Alimax45 for the rear.
also have the bike scheduled to go in for the sprocket recall as soon as parts come in.
I am gonna try to help her tally up some miles this year and get it up to 9K miles and then get the coolant flushed and have them bleed the ABS with BUDS.

Ordered a 36mm socket for tire/oil changes, magnetic HEX drain plugs and a belt tension checker.

gonna have her ride it as is for a bit, may be doing the full bajaron swaybar upgrade kit later this year, but i want her to ride it without it first so she feel the difference.
