• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome, Thefireman

Thanks, for the welcome. I anticipate spending a lot of time here. I do not own a Spyder but I have become the amateur mechanic for my girlfriend's 2016 RT Limited. My first project was finding and replacing the dead battery. She didn't know. Before I asked for her model I discovered several Youtube videos showing removal of an abundance of plastic needing removal to access the battery. It did not look like a pleasant way to spend my weekend. After we figured out her model I found the battery in the trunk.

She saw a Freedom trailer for sale recently but someone else purchased it sight unseen. Now she wants a trailer and she likes the idea of the Freedom's upright stand. My next project will be installing a trailer hitch. The BRP site doesn't appear to offer hitches for the 2016 RTs any longer. Thus, the search for a used OEM trailer hitch and control module, or a third party kit begins.
