• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What changes were made with the 2024 Spyder software update to V3.1?

Can someone tell me what changes were made? My display is different after the dealer updated my software to V3.1. Where is the number for what gear I am in, and where is the indicator in ECO mode that says when to shift? 2024 Sea to Sky.

I can't answer your question about ECO mode without trying it on my 2024 Spyder.

The gear "number" is in the lower left corner of the left side of the display. It displays R when in reverse, N when in neutral, and the number of the other gears.
When the Spyder thinks you should shift up an "arrow head" appears above the gear you are in, which is your indication to shift up.
I say "arrow head" because I could also describe it as a "roof" over the number with the peak pointing to the top of the screen.

That's the problem, they seem to have moved the odometer to the left lower corner where the gear indicator used to be.

If you are using Apple Carplay, then it does shift things around a bit, as the center and right side of the screen is taken over by the Carplay display.

But the gear indicator is still there. I grabbed this image from the CAM-AM website, and resized it so it was smaller.
The fuel gauge moved over to the left, and the gear moved up a little. This is showing it's in 3rd gear.
It also shows where the ECO indicator is on the display.

I am not using Carplay so I have the full display. I need to go for a ride when the rain stops and see if the big "1" is now the gear number.

I believe you can switch from having odometer in lower left and gear in the center to gear in lower left and odometer in center (by long pressing it on the display?)?

So I went out and took a couple of pictures.
I did not take my helmet with me, so it was not bluetooth paired to the Spyder.
I also did not plug in my iPhone, even though I did use it take these pictures.

So the large number in the lower center of the display is the gear.

Thanks for checking, racoon! It looks like the software update changed things, and this isn't just an issue with my display. Is there somewhere BRP posts what the software updates do?

No, they don't publish the details.

The only detail I remember hearing about was the update in Spring 2024 when they announced that Apple Carplay was now available through a software update.

I, too, noticed the UI changes with the latest software update on my 2024 Spyder RTL. And now the 2024 owners manual is wrong. I took a look at the 2025 manual. What's in there more closely matches how my screen behaves.

One thing the 2025 manual gets wrong is the center section of the full gauges display. Long press to change among blank, temperature/voltage, and miles-to-empty/avg-mpg. In either of the latter two, use the up/down/OK button on the left handlebar to toggle between the two choices.
