There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That looks to me to be the Adjuster for one of your Main/High beam headlights. On your Spyder, if it's still the 2011 RT you mentioned earlier, then you'll have another pair just like that on the other side for the other Main/High beam headlight. If I'm right about what it is, one of those adjusters will adjust the headlight on that side of the pair up and down; the other adjuster on the same side will adjust the same headlight Left and Right. The other pair of adjusters work on the headlight on the other side of the pair.
Like your European spec Spyder, my Australian spec Spyder has the Main/High beam headlights in the large upper light assemblies; while the Low beam headlights are down in the light assemblies on the side of the frunk.
