• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What... No Parades for US???

Yesterday wan't a good day at all... Every October, our Town's Library hosts a day of Halloween-style activities and a Parade for all of the local children. I called the "Parade-Person" up and asked about the possibility of me getting a bunch of Trikes together to participate. Now I am up against the clock here; it's happening next Saturday! I was politely told that it was already too late to sign up... but I got the impression that there was another unspoken "NO!"... As we talked a bit more she mentioned that having "bikers" in the Parade may just draw more for next year, and she didn't want to see "gangs" show up and want to be strutting their stuff for the kids... W.T.H. was THAT all about???
Anyway I calmed her down and promised that I'd get my paperwork in earlier for next year... but it really soured my appetite for the rest of the day... and it's not easy to do that!

just grumbling a little...:cus:

Their loss ...

WOW, guess she needs some education on the dangers of stereotyping or would that be profiling?... What a shame she has that attitude, yet is promoting a typically pagan holiday that frequently has children getting hurt every year from pranks.

Hope you get that paperwork together for next year and educate her a bit!!

Every time I'm out the kids are the ones that make my day because they they wave and get excited when I wave back. They don't ask those silly questions like - does it fish-tail , is it a car and how much did it cost? My students think my Spyder is so cool. (I do too):2thumbs:

:agree: A little ironic, wouldn't you say?

AMEN AMEN I SAY TO YOU:ohyea::roflblack:

All of this stereotyping might change if more of the biker/Spyder charity events and the proceeds got a little more recognition. All we ever here on TV and radio news is the bad news! :dontknow:

Now matter how "clean cut" we are, no matter how well we dress and no matter how much we sacrifice to preserve this great country to the elitists we are still a bad influence.

I'd be willing to bet if "she" was broke down on the side of a deserted highway "she" wouldn't hesitate to let us fix her car or take her some place for nothing... maybe not even a thank you. I've seen it before and I am sure I, as well as others, will see it again.

"This is indeed a sad commentary for our society. "

The Spyder isn't that great of a parade vehicle unless you were rYding at greater than walking speed or maybe have the new fan. I recently was in a parade with 15 other Spyders and a third of the bikes to my knowledge had problems. Thankfully I wasn't one of them.
