• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What to pack for Cuba and Durango?

Hope you're joking about wearing the same underwear a couple days.

Don't want Monkey Butt to be part of the road trip...nojoke

Its better to take more dainties than you need.
I sure would never wear it a couple of days (UGH!), but taking 2-3 and rinsing one out every night works well. That being said, the first thing I add if I have extra room is more underwear and socks.

Clean socks and clean undies are a must and really don't take a lot of space. I've ridden with folks who can't make a decision or we're on the road long enough, that they've sent a suitcase or box ahead to their hotel and shipped it back with their souvenirs.

Happy riding!

 A number of the BMW riders do that. At their annual rally, they usually have a shipping booth set up.

I like that idea. Makes packing much easier and I wont have to rely on Forrests large trash bag strapped to the seat idea.

Murphy and Scotty pretty much have the subject nailed. I am also a proponent of checking out what you did not need or use for the next trip--and leaving it home for the next go around.

I used to do a lot of wilderness canoeing where you had to carry everything you need with you because there was no place to get anylthing once you set out. My earliest trips were pretty much a nightmare with all the gear we carried along. Two people and three large heavy packs per canoe. We not only had to carry the canoes over the portages between the lakes, but would have to carry the extra packs on a second trip. By the time I had done this a few times, everything was able to be carried over on one trip across the portage. I traveled most of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota over a period of 30 years.

I have since adopted a lot of this thinking into packing the motorcycle for trips. Glad I don't have to carry the :spyder2: from place to place though. :roflblack:
