• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the best way to download a Service Manual?

I'm really, really, dense when it comes to computers and smart phones, and Doug (husband) is even worse. I'd like to purchase a manual from canammanuals.com and have it on my phone and my desktop. Should I purchase from my phone or computer? I have no idea how to send from one to another. Can you all offer guidance in the simplest terms possible please? I've found the website and the '22 manual but I'm afraid to hit the button. :helpsmilie: Thanks!

I went directly to the BRP Can Am site and downloaded one to my computer for free. There's also a lot of other info on this site.

https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/owner-zone.html

I suggest starting at this site, follow the prompts, narrow it down to your specific vehicle, then download in pdf form.

Hope this was some help. Gary

It seems Sarah is asking about the Service Manual, not the Owners Manual.

Sarah, I was able to put it on my laptop and my iPad.

I understand your concern. Would be nice if Can-Am just sold the manual. I ordered mine form brpmanuals.com and its website looks exactly like canammanuals.com except "brpmanuals" shows a 2023 Ryker manual. Might be the same company (Best Shop Manuals / DWC). I had no issues with the purchase, paid with cc on my computer, almost immediately got a download button, downloaded, got an email with links to instructions and setup on my desktop. It is a regular pdf file and I can do with it what I please. I'll copy to my laptop later.

I bought mine from here, totally legit $24
I have a 2023 & bought the 2022 manual because 23 wasnt for sale at the time.
They now have the 2023 service manual.

Its a searchable text PDF which is great, not a scanned copy.
Meaning you can search "brakes" for example and it will show all the pages that have something about "brakes"

Keep a copy of the PDF on your PC & your phone.

I put it on a pen drive.
Then took it to a print shop and got it printed out.
Filled 2 large folders.

I did that as im old skool and like hard copy books.

Please have a better link? That 1 goes to empty cart & not able search.:dontknow:

The service manual is pretty large. Probably best to down load it to a computer with a wired modem if possible. Less chance of losing the signal or some other connection problems than there would be trying to download with wifi or a cell tower.

If you have a wired modem, that will be more dependable that trying to download from a cell tower. If you do want to download to the cell phone, you can hook the cell phone to your wired modem if you have one. (DSL or Cable Internet)

Once you get it on the home computer (laptop, or whatever) in PDF format, or HTML if it is not available in PDF, you can move it around to most any of your devices. Most any of the laptop or Tablet computers can read PDF Files. If yours cannot, it might be as simple as adding a PDF reader (often free download). A few of the portable devices require a special format, but there are conversion programs to get the PDF to a format that can be read by the device.

here you go, link to main page with all the Ryker & Spyder manuals. 23 ryker is at bottom of page
https://brpmanuals.com/product-category/rykers-spyders/

If you can swing it, I would recommend either keeping a laptop in your garage, an old tablet, or even an old LED TV mounted on the wall with the laptop hooked up to it.

Definitely easier to read than a 6" phone screen when doing work. Unless you're on the side of the road.

I bought the Canam shop manual (paper version) for 100$ at the dealership. Very satisfied with it. I m old school and also terribel with computers...

Trouble is, I don’t believe they produced paper manuals after around 2017, Construction. :dontknow: You haven’t said which model and year you actually have;)

I download everything to my windows one drive. I can then access it from all my linked devices phone, tablet, and laptop.
